Guided Tour of Oxford Botanic Garden

Members of Oxford Centre are fortunate to have been invited on a Guided Tour of the Oxford Botanic Garden by Professor Simon Hiscock, the Director. He will be assisted on the day by the Deputy Director, Dr Chris Thorogood, and Curator, Mark Brent. As well as being Director of the Botanic Garden and Arboretum, Simon Hiscock is Professor of Botany in the Department of Plant Sciences at Oxford University.

The historic Walled Garden is a green oasis of calm in the centre of Oxford, home to over 5,000 different types of plant from around the world. Seven display glasshouses contain plants from tropical rainforests, the world’s largest water lilies, carnivorous plants, desert cacti, and alpine flora. We will be very fortunate to have experts showing us the range of plants.
