Visit to Coleshill Heritage Skills Centre & Basildon Park

There’s lots to see at the newly launched Coleshill Rural Skills Centre. We’ll be accommodated in the comfortably refurbished Carthorse Stables for a talk on Coleshill’s unique connection to artisan crafts and skills, before the opportunity to look around and watch craftsmen working. 

There is a one hour drive to Basildon Park and the Stable Yard entrance. A 400-metre uphill stroll through woodland leads to the house, but there is a Buggy Service.  After a talk outlining the fascinating history of the property, there will be time to visit the house, the gardens and the Exhibition Room where ‘India & Me’ depicts Basildon’s historic Indian connection.
