Lecture – Bringing the climate change challenge to life: how the National Trust is playing its part to tackle its biggest threat
17 October 2023 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
At Magdalen College Auditorium, Longwall St at 11am
Tea and coffee will be served in the Auditorium Foyer from 10.30am, a chance to chat with friends! All welcome! Members £5, non-members £6
We are delighted to welcome Patrick Begg, Outdoors and Natural Resources Director for the National Trust, to outline how the Trust’s current Strategy recognises that the biggest threat to our core conservation mission is the accelerating impact of climate change. Trust properties are suffering from the serious consequences of drought, flooding, changes in humidity and the severe pressures on species and habitats. This presentation will bring to life the various ways our places are being affected, and describe how we are responding.
