Archaeologist Dr Stephen Wass has been engaged by the National Trust to carry out a variety of archaeological interventions across the park and gardens at Stowe over the past five years.  The talk will give an account of these varied investigations and the light they shed on the long history of the site and the challenges that modern management of the gardens face.
