We will visit Batsford Arboretum, near Moreton-in-Marsh, in the morning with over 3 hours to explore the vivid autumn colours. The Garden Terrace Café is excellent for coffees and lunches, a shop and plant centre
From Batsford it’s 15-minutes’ drive to Chastleton House, a largely unchanged early 17th century country house with a recently restored garden. Access to the house involves a steep path and then several steps: suitable shoes are recommended! At the House we’ll be welcomed with a short introduction to the history of Chastleton, and then start guided tours of the House. The entrance is up 5 stone steps; the House has two staircases over four floors.
