Zoom lecture – Nuneham Courtenay: one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world

The whole Nuneham estate, including the planned village and house and park, represents an important demonstration of 18th and 19th century aristocratic taste and power.  It also illustrates the threats to survival which faced English country estates in the decades after World War 2, and the challenges that still lie ahead.  This talk by Malcolm Airs, former district conservation officer closely involved in the protection of Nuneham Courtenay, will touch on all these themes in exploring its chequered history.
