Oxford Centre of the National Trust is a group of over 300 local supporters of the National Trust formed in 1969, initially as a student society within Oxford University, to further their common interest in the preservation of the country’s heritage.
We welcome as members of the Oxford Centre anyone who supports these aims, whether or not they are members of the National Trust.
We have a double charitable purpose: to promote and prosper the National Trust in our region and to ensure that membership is an enjoyable experience. To that end, throughout the year we arrange coach outings to places of interest, social events, walks and fundraising activities. Illustrated lectures are held during the winter months, in an Oxford University lecture theatre, or via Zoom.
The Members’ Newsletter, with full details of our forthcoming events and how to apply for them is sent 3 times a year, usually by email.
Our Membership subscription is only £10 a year, £15 for members sharing an address, plus £5 if you require a printed Newsletter to be posted to you, rather than sent by email. Please download the Application Form, complete it and return it to our Membership Secretary at the address on the form, by email or post.
Your initial subscription may be made by cheque or bank transfer. We prefer all subsequent renewal subscriptions to be paid by Standing Order which you should set up with your bank, to be paid on January 1st each year. You will find our bank details on the Application Form.

When you apply for membership of Oxford Centre of the National Trust, you give us contact information so that we can keep you informed about forthcoming activities and invite you to take part in our events. This personal information is used solely for the purposes of running the Centre and its activities. It may be exchanged among members of the Committee but will not be shared with any other organisation. Your details will be kept securely and you have the right to opt out of our communications at any time. You also have the right to request to see what information we hold about you from our Membership Secretary.
